How to Hide Your IP address with Proxy Servers |
This is a rather advanced article, so I suggest you read the other articles first; however, it is fairly easy to understand and is well worth your time. This page covers security aspect of hacking. The best way to hide you identity with the least effort is to use a proxy server. Let me explain...
So, what's a Proxy server?
Normally when you surf this is how the signal is transmitted your computer accesses web site==>The web site recieves your request.==>The web page is transmitted to your computer. |
But if you use a proxy server this happens: You send a request to the proxy server==>The Proxy server sends a request to the web site==>The web site recieves the proxy's request.==>Web site sends page to proxy==>The web page is transmitted to your computer. |
HTTP Proxy | PORT |
proxy.kemmunet.net.mt | 80 |
proxy1.emirates.net.ae | 8080 |
cache.saix.net | 8080 |
Step Two:
Secondly, make sure you have Netscape Communicator 4.0 or higher. Click here to get netscape for free if you don't have it. Next open up Netscape. Click on Edit on the top bar, then select preferences. Double click on advanced, then proxies. Now check the box for "manual proxy", then click on "configure" or "view".
Now fill in the info of the proxy server and its port (I gave you this info in step 1). Note: it is important for you to fill in both the HTTP section and the Security section. This will ensure that you can goto secure order forms without being traced to your true IP address.
Step three:
If the above link does not work, then you can goto First goto edit..preferences...advanced...proxy and check "direct connection to internet". Now see what they record as your IP address (it's towards the bottom of the page). Then switch back to proxy mode and click "reload". Check to the IP Address they record. If it is different then the proxy server is working.
Overview:
The beauty of using a proxy server is that you can't be traced and you can access "https://" pages--these are the secure server pages that most adult sites use now. Plus the service is free and convienient. You may want to turn it off at times though because it can slow down regular use slightly. Only use it when hacking.
